STAFF NURSE – PERMANENT AND BANK OPPORTUNITIES
St David’s Hospice is an 11 bedded and 10 day care adult Hospice, which provides excellent specialist palliative care to the communities of North West Wales.
We are currently looking for a dynamic, experienced Staff Nurse to complement our existing multi-disciplinary team. Previous experience in palliative care and the relevant qualification would be advantageous for the post, together with a willingness for further study.
This role is 37.5 hours per week working between our Day Care and Inpatient Units, including working day and night shift rotas.
The successful applicant must be flexible, have good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to speak Welsh would be desirable, have a passion for quality in care and the belief that the patient and their family are at the centre of everything we do.
In addition to excellent working conditions and commitment to staff development, we are also able to maintain your NHS pension.
We are also currently recruiting Bank Staff Nurses. There is the opportunity to work, when required, in the Inpatient unit with a team of nurses and Health Care Workers providing palliative care to patients.

Volunteer Coordinator
21 hours per week
£21,000 p.a. (pro rata)
Fixed term contract for 12 months - possibility of extension, subject to funding.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead in developing new volunteering in the Hospice and co-ordinate the activities of existing volunteers.
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, coordination and direction of the volunteers. Developing, implementing and integrating a new volunteer structure, together with policies and procedures.
You will be an excellent communicator with excellent IT skills, have the ability to work on own initiative, who enjoys meeting people and have experience of working with volunteers. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable. You should be prepared to work occasional evenings and weekends and be a car owner and driver.
