Mrs Dorothy Salisbury of Penmaenmawr recently celebrated her 90th birthday. As a supporter of St David’s Hospice for many years, she chose to ask for donations to the hospice instead of birthday presents.  If you are celebrating a special occasion this year, why not support the hospice whilst celebrating. Celebration Giving is a positive and unique way of celebrating a special occasion whilst supporting the work of St David’s Hospice.

• Come down to the bandstand, on Llandudno prom this Saturday (1pm – 3pm) to watch all the fun and laughter of this year’s St David’s Hospice Jail and Bail. Local ‘criminals’ are been arrested and will be thrown in to the mock up ‘jail’. They will only be released if they raise enough bail money!

• With only a week to go Geoff Wiltshire and Katharine Watson are making their final preparations for their non stop cycling tour of Anglesey. They are tackling the150 mile cycle ride all in aid of St David’s Hospice, please sponsor them by visiting: www.tudnotv.com/madride.html 

• The jubilee is only three weeks away – Don’t forget to download your ‘Wear a Crown for a £1’ information pack at www.stdavidshospice.org.uk  It will provide you with all you need to get started on this fun fundraising event -  You will find your unique  hospice crown template (complete with instructions), and a Certificate for the best crown! Enjoy wearing your crowns and have lots of fun in the process! Alternatively call 01492 873665 for a copy.

• Indulge yourself in the Welsh cuisine, at the Coleg Llandrillo charity dinner on Wednesday 23rd May. Taking place in the Orme View Restaurant, it is to raise funds for St David’s Hospice. Tickets £25 (5 course meal). Tickets must be booked in advance:  01492 542341

• Only a few tickets left now for the Charity Night and Disco at The Mulberry, Conwy Marina on Saturday 26th May. Hosted by Gary Carr the evening starts at 7.30pm. For tickets call 01492 583350 or 873674.

• Coffee Morning, Saturday 26th May 10am – 12noon is being held at the Henryd School Village Hall in aid of St David’s Hospice. Tickets £1. Usual Stalls including raffle, cakes, Plants, Tombola.

• Bryn Eisteddfod, Glan Conwy is in a superb setting in 18th century landscaped grounds of a country house overlooking the spectacular Conwy valley. The beautiful gardens will be open on Sun 27th May. Gates open 2pm until 5pm. Plants, teas and refreshments. Adults £2.50 Children 50p.

• Hospice Hoedown – Barn Dance Saturday, 30 June 2012
Marl Farm in Llandudno Junction will play host to a barn dance & hog roast in aid of St David’s Hospice. Live music and caller and licensed bar. Advance ticket price £20, includes hog roast. For further information and tickets contact Wendy on 01492 873665.

• Join us on Sunday 19th August for our 5th St David’s Hospice Dawn Walk. The women only, sponsored 9 mile walk is a beautiful route from Conwy to Llandudno (return) following the estuary.
