Weekly News Update

LLANDUDNO pier will once again stage a host of local charity ‘criminals’ for St David’s Hospice’ Jail and Bail.

On Saturday, May 19, a list of local personalities from North West Wales will be marched by police to their ‘cell’ on the pier.

They will need to raise a minimum of £150 in bail money before they can be released and will have a list of chores to complete during their spell behind bars!

Fundraiser Wendy Clark said: “It’s all a bit of fun and last year’s event was a huge success.
All the ‘criminal’s’ were arrested for funny, make-believe crimes and dressed in fancy dress. We are now looking for criminals for 2012! These can be from all walks of life…local sports teams, school teachers, company directors and more. The participants will be able to collect sponsorship money before the event and during. We’re hoping to raise much-needed funds to help continue to provide end of life care, free of charge, to our patients.”

To take part in this event, contact Wendy at the Hospice on (01492) 873665 or email wendy@stdavidshospice.org.uk. To learn more about the charity, join us at www.facebook.com/hosbisdewisant.
