We are looking for experienced retail managers to join our team at St David’s Hospice.  This role is on a bank basis, meaning that we will contact you as work arises so it is on more of a casual basis.

Who we are:

St David’s Hospice is a local charity providing hospice care to adult patients across Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey. Currently, we have three clinical sites, and a Hospice at Home service, and our café and 15 retail outlets across North West Wales play an important role in supporting our services. 

Integrity and care are at the heart of our culture and will be centric to the role.

What you’ll do:

You will have energy to bring to our shops to provide cover when the manager is not available.  Running various St David’s Hospice Charity Shops in a way that generates sustainable income for patient care, locally in North West Wales.

As a Shop Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that our shops are representative of the Hospice by keeping it clean & tidy, safe and secure and with lots of choice and variance for supporters.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Be able to turn goods over quickly by having a strong sales or retail background
  • Deliver the best customer service & promote the hospice at every opportunity
  • Develop the store and increase revenue
  • Look for opportunities to generate income within the job role
  • Ability to follow procedure with particular reference to the Hospice’s Retail Policy contents

To do the role you’ll need:

  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Customer service and / or sales experience
  • Experience in displaying goods
  • You must have a clean driving licence and your own car, as you could be asked to cover any of our shops.
  • Empathy for the Hospice, and alignment with the charity’s values
