Once again, St David’s Hospice invites local supporters to test their knowledge and pit their wits against some of the brightest sparks in North Wales at the North Wales Business Club (NWBC) Virtual Corporate Quiz.
On Thursday 16th September 2021 at 6pm, NWBC will host an Online Quiz and Raffle via Zoom, with Quiz Master Rupert Moon, former international Welsh Rugby Union Player.
Now in its sixth year, quizzers will go head-to-head in the interactive digital quiz, which has been put together by Managing Director of Worldspan, Sophie Morris. It will bring the North Wales Business community together once again with an interactive quiz. To be enjoyed via Zoom in the comfort of your own home, it will include rounds such as General Knowledge, Observation and Musical Magic.
North Wales Business Club Chairman, Jeremy Salisbury explains:
“None of us anticipated that we would be in this position again this year, but we do sincerely hope to be back to normal next year and trust that, in the meantime, everyone will support this year’s Online Quiz and Raffle in order that we may raise the much-needed funds to help St David’s Hospice in these difficult times.”
Last year over fifty quizzers from across North Wales gathered around their laptops for the virtual corporate quiz. It raised an outstanding £10,220 bringing the total over the five years to over £57,000.
Tom Owen and Son who attended the virtual event last year said:
“We loved the quiz last year and can’t wait to be a part of this year’s event.”
The event will be raising money for St David’s Hospice, a local palliative and end of life care charity. Each year the charity must raise in excess of £5 million to ensure that the Hospice’s services can be sustained in the local community. With just 9% of this figure coming from the Local Health Board, it leaves the enormous task of raising the rest through charitable contributions, and events such as the Corporate Quiz.
Conwy Area Fundraiser James Wilde said:
“Last year’s quiz was really well received and the Business Club had many emails saying how much fun the event was.
“There’s some fantastic raffle prizes on offer and it’ll be great to see who comes out on top in the quiz!
“We are really grateful to Rupert Moon for showing his support again, he has done such a superb job as quizmaster in previous years.”
If you would like to take part in the quiz, (entry £10 per person) please contact; Jean Barlow on Jean@barlowstalyfan.co.uk or 07789348817.
Those of you who may not wish to participate in the quiz can still purchase raffle tickets at £5 each. The raffle includes a variety of prizes from local businesses. A full list of prizes and sponsors are to be found on the business club’s website: https://www.nwbc.org.uk/Calendar-of-Events.
