Members of the North Wales Road Runner Club and GOGs Triathlon Club recently organised a sporting challenge to raised funds for St David’s Hospice. The ‘Billy Goat Challenge’ invited club members and also the general public to either walk or run 10k or cycle 10 miles.

In a bid to put the club’s athletes fitness to the test, they also held team challenges in the last two weeks in June. The main competition included 13 teams of 5 entrants, with three runners and two cyclists, and was based on an age percentage and performance basis, which compared the age and finishing times of all the entrants.

With nearly 80 participants taking part the Billy Goat Challenge raised over £700 for St David’s Hospice in Llandudno.

Hospice Conwy Area Fundraiser, James Wilde said;
