The North Wales branch of the National Association of Retired Police Officers (NARPO) held ‘A Festival of Music and Song’ at the Rhyl Pavilion to celebrate 100 years of the organisation.
Acts included National Eistedfodd winner, Eleri Woolford, Harpist Sian Llewelyn and Cor Meibion Colwyn.
The proceeds from the April concert were donated to St David’s Hospice, Nightingale House Hospice, St Kentigern Hospice and Welsh Air Ambulance.
Chairman Denbigh branch of NARPO and Concert Organiser, Richard Jones said:
“Despite a day of terrible wind and rain the concert was a big success and had 400-500 people in attendance.
“I enjoyed every act in the event and hope the money and awareness raised helps St David’s Hospice continue their good work.”
St David’s Hospice received £1400 with Hospice Conwy Area Community Fundraiser, James Wilde saying:
“Thank you to Richard and NARPO for organising this fantastic event. Their efforts will help support patients and their families here at St David’s Hospice.”
