Members of the Colin Jones Male Voice choir from across North Wales, came together for an evening of song.

The concert, which was held last month at the Pentrefoelas school hall, raised over £1500 for local adult hospices, with St David’s receiving £763.

The idea of the concert came from Gwyndaf Hafod Dinbych, John Price, Nan and Lisa Davies who wanted to recognise the exceptional care their family members had received from local hospices.

Organisers of the concert, Nan and daughter Lisa Davies said:

“We hope this money will help maintain the fantastic care and support offered to patients and their families we received just over two years ago. We hope it makes a very difficult time a little more bearable.

“We’d also like to thank Waterloo Hotel Betws y Coed, Foelas Arms Pentrefoelas, Gwasg Carreg Gwalch, Al & Ro Jones Butchers Llanrwst, Ceir Cymru Glasfryn, Siop Pentrefoelas, and family and friends who helped us get a fantastic 25 prizes in all!”

Community Fundraiser, James Wilde said:

“Thank you so much to the community and businesses of Pentrefoelas for coming together to support this special event.

“I’d also like to give special mention Gwyndaf, Nan and Lisa for organising the event, local businesses for supporting the raffle and Colin Jones’ Chorus for entertaining everyone on the night.”
