Members of the team from EE Llandudno, set themselves a cycling challenge to raise much needed funds for St David’s Hospice.
On an exercise bike outside the store on Parc Llandudno, the team cycled the distance from their store in Bangor to their store in Wrexham on Saturday 17th April, totaling 80 miles.
Turning pedal power into fundraising, they successfully raised £283.08 for the charity through donations online and loose change collected in buckets on the day.

The Store’s Assistant Manager, Danielle Kane said:
“I personally have experienced first-hand how amazing the staff are at St David’s Hospice as they looked after my mum before she passed away a few years ago.
“We wanted to do something which would give back to a local charity which we believe does an amazing job.”
St David’s Hospice has recently launched it’s 500 Hearts campaign and is searching for 500 supporters to make a difference to our local community, just like the staff at the Llandudno EE store.
If the Hospice is close to your heart, perhaps you might consider being part of our first ever 500 Hearts supporters, with a commitment to raise a minimum of £100 in 2021.
Your fundraising challenge can be undertaken in many ways and in your own time between now and the end of the year. It could include an outdoor or physical challenge, a month-long health target i.e., number of steps or miles per day; or by giving something up such as chocolate, smoking or wine. The list really is endless.
Every penny raised by the 500 Hearts campaign will enable St David’s Hospice to help local people living with life limiting illness and those in need of end-of-life care. Every donation will also help the charity provide support to family members and carers, who may need support at a very difficult time in their lives.
