On Saturday May 16th, St David’s Hospice supporters will take on the Snowdon Sunset Challenge and you could be a part of it!

You could climb Wales’ highest mountain which summits at 1,085 metres above sea level, via the Llanberis Path, with the aim of reaching the top to enjoy the sunset.

It is ideal for team bonding opportunities or those wanting to see the sun go down in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.

The event will be led by Stephen Jones, Anelu Aim Higher a local company who specialise in mountain and hill course in Snowdonia so it is also perfect for those who have always wanted to walk Snowdon but don’t want to go alone.

Joining St David’s Hospice for her first ever Snowdon Sunset walk will be singer, presenter and the charity’s Patron Elin Fflur. She will also be joined by Hospice Supporter and local Gwynedd councillor Dilwyn Morgan.

Talking about the walk, Elin said:

“This is a new experience for me, and I’m very much looking forward to it. I have never walked Snowdon before so it will be a real challenge for me!

“We are hoping to raise lots and lots of money to help develop and provide hospice care in Gwynedd, Conwy and Anglesey. We hope you will join us.’

St David’s Hospice Gwynedd Area Fundraiser Keri McKie said:

“Due to the overwhelming success of our previous Snowdon Sunrise walks we felt it was a great time to take on Snowdon in a different dimension.

“The feedback we’ve had from supporters has been brilliant and this is your chance not only to raise both funds and awareness for St David’s Hospice but to experience an event that creates lasting memories.”

The event starts at 5.30pm, and you must register in advance to take part. Entry is £25 person and there is a minimum sponsorship level of £75.
