The ladies-only Moonlight Memories Walk returns for the third year on Saturday 22 June.

Starting at 10 pm from Ysgol John Bright, Llandudno the walk follows a circular 10 km route starting and finishing at the Ysgol John Bright in Llandudno and includes the scenic Llandudno Promenade.

Hospice Events Co-ordinator Rhian Jacobs explains:
“This is a ladies only event, but marshalling is a perfect opportunity for the rest of the family to get involved.

“We are looking for volunteers to be a route marshal in the evening. They play such an important role in directing and encouraging the walkers throughout the course. Not to mention being the eyes and ears to assist event organisers. They provide guidance to walkers with direction and ensuring they obey event rules and signage – and give them cheer along the way!

“To volunteer, you will not need any specific skills; just the ability to think clearly and act responsibly in a crisis and a general knowledge of road safety is a must. Plus an outgoing and encouraging personality to motivate the walkers! For those who would prefer an indoor role, we are also looking for volunteers to help on the event registration desks”.

Since the first event in 2017, it has raised more £40,000 profit for the local end of life care. Fundraising activities are a vital part of the funding for the local charity, who are celebrating their twentieth year of caring.
