St David’s Hospice depends on a fantastic team of dedicated volunteers, who work across all areas of the charity. Their support makes a vast impact on the level of service St David’s Hospice are able to provide for their patients and families.
Volunteers are involved in support work within the Hospices, to helping in our charity shops or fundraising out in the community. The skills that our volunteers bring with them are varied and invaluable.
Without the volunteers, St David’s would not be able to carry out the vital work free of charge to the communities of North west Wales.
St David’s Hospice Shops across Gwynedd are currently looking for people to join their team as a volunteer shop assistant. The role involves; greeting and serving customers in a welcoming manner, assisting in stock management, manning the till and processing sales and helping to display items on the shop floor and replenishing stock.
Margaret Wilkins has been enjoying volunteering at the Dolgellau shop since it opened and currently volunteers 1-2 days a week.
“When the shop first opened, my Husband had passed away and we had help from Hospice at Home. This felt like the perfect opportunity to give something back”
