The local charity is organising a hike to the summit of Snowdon walking through the darkness to be rewarded with the sun rising over Snowdonia National park.
Number two in the ITV’s top 100 favourite walks in Britain, Snowdon is the highest peak in Wales and is one of the most popular summits in the British Isles.
The charity walk starts at 1am on Sunday 13th May and in conjunction with outdoor specialists Breese Adventures it follows the Llanberis Path to the peak of 1085m above sea level.
James Wilde-Community Fundraiser said:
“Led by qualified and experienced mountain leaders, who will be with you every step of the way, you can test yourself and walk through the night. You will need a good level of fitness.
“This is a unique and exciting way to experience Snowdon. The views up the top are some of the best in the U.K and being able to see them during the sunrise makes it even more special.
“Knowing that all your efforts are also raising vital funds for the work of St David’s Hospice makes the experience even more worthwhile.”
Registration fee is £25 which includes kit and training advice, experienced mountain leaders enroute, tea/coffee and full breakfast at Padarn Lake Hotel, Llanberis plus a t-shirt, certificate and a medal for your achievements.
All participants must also raise a minimum sponsorship of £75 and a fundraising pack will be provided to help you raise the amount.
