Llandudno’s Moonlight Memories walk is less than 50 days to go and organisers are urging people to sign-up quickly as places are filling up fast.
The popular ladies only event, which is now in its third year, has so far raised more £40,000 profit for the local charity.
It is a circular 10 km walk starting and finishing at the Ysgol John Bright in Llandudno and includes the scenic Llandudno Promenade. Registration and a warm-up session will start at 9.45pm with walkers setting off at 10 pm.
Hospice Events Coordinator, Rhian Jacobs said:
“The walk is suitable for all abilities and you can walk at your own pace. It’s all about socialising and having fun, remembering special people and making new memories with your loved ones.
“A Moonlight Memories Garden will be lit up at the Hospice along the route, and walkers will be welcomed to leave a message on the memories tree. All messages are treasured safely in a memories book which is kept at the Hospice chapel after the event.
“Last year’s event had a great atmosphere and the weather was beautiful, treating us all to some beautiful sunset skies across Llandudno bay”
Entry is £15 per person and participants must be aged 8 or over. The entry fee includes a t-shirt, half-way refreshments and a medal on completion as well as a special butterfly tag to write messages on and place in the Moonlight Memories garden on the night.
There is a limit of 500 places so to avoid disappointment or call 01492 873664.
