LLANDUDNO BOXING DAY TRIP RAISES £2000

The annual Llandudno Boxing Day dip, organised by the Lions Club of Llandudno raised £2,000 for St David’s Hospice.
The event saw more than 150 take to the water on North Shore, Llandudno many of them wearing fancy dress. Funds were raised through raffle tickets sold prior to the event and through collection buckets on the day.
Each year the president of the Lions Club can choose a charity to support.  This year’s president John Chambers chose his local adult Hospice as last year he lost his father and he spent his final days at the Hospice. John’s dad was a Lion for 45 years.
John Chambers-Llandudno Lions President said:
“We hope the money will go a small way to help maintain the high standards of care that St David’s Hospice already provides.”
St David’s Hospice Community Fundraiser James Wilde said:
“Thank you so much to the Llandudno Lions for supporting St David’s Hospice through the Boxing Day dip. The event is always a phenomenal success in the town and we’re happy that the Hospice can benefit from the hard work they put in to organise the event and run it on the day. We hope to work with the Llandudno Lions again in the future.”
