Moonlight Memories Walk for Paul

“We were overwhelmed with the compassion and care received at St David’s Hospice”

Sisters from Llandudno walked in memory of their brother raising £1700 to show their support for their local adult hospice.

Michelle Sealey and Caroline Roberts took part in the first Moonlight Memories Walk last year and every step they took was in memory of their 44 years old brother Paul Roberts who had passed away in the March.

The night-time walking challenge organised by St David’s Hospice in the September saw over 300 women follow a 10km route around the Llandudno area including Craig y Don, The Promenade, Happy Valley and West Shore.

Michelle, Associate at TK Maxx, Llandudno said:

“Although Paul was only in the care of the Hospice for three days, my family and I were overwhelmed with the compassion and care that was given, not only to Paul but to our whole family.

“Thank you to everyone who works so hard and shows such empathy in extremely difficult times.

“The Moonlight Memories Walk was my first sponsored walk, which I found was an amazing experience and so honoured to be a part of. Thank you to everyone for the sponsors I received and the support from my family, friends and workplace.”

Together they raised £1700 for the local charity which included £1000 from the TK Maxx Community Fund. Every penny raised will support the invaluable work of St David’s Hospice enabling them to continue to care for local people, delivering specialist care to adult patients with advanced illnesses or those in need of end of life care and their families.
