Test the Team Quiz returns to raise over £10,000 for St David’s Hospice

Following on from the success of last year’s event, the “Test the Team” Corporate Quiz returned to Venue Cymru on Thursday, 18th May.
This innovative quiz is as result of an ongoing working relationship between North Wales Business Club, Barclays and St David’s Hospice.
Businesses from across North Wales and Cheshire were all competing to be crowned champions of this interactive quiz, which was once again hosted by former Welsh International rugby union player, Rupert Moon.
Thirty eight teams were all hoping to have the right answers. Round after round went by in close competition, but by the end of the night it was the team from Dragon Investments who walked away with the coveted trophy, followed closely in 2nd place by the Quizzee Rascals from Live Well Contract Interiors.
Kathryn Morgan-Jones from St David’s Hospice said
“I was absolutely delighted to see the return of the Corporate Quiz, which is courtesy of Barclays and to partner with North Wales Business Club is a huge privilege too. It’s a fun and exciting event with lots of twists and surprises as the leader board changes after every round.
The popularity of the quiz saw more teams taking part this year which I am delighted to say raised over £10,400 for St David’s Hospice patients and their families!!
A special thanks has to go to our Quizmaster, Rupert Moon who did an amazing job once again, keeping everyone entertained throughout the evening and to all those who supported through sponsorship, donations and volunteering on the night”.
John Pitchford, Corporate Banking Director for Barclays said:
“We are delighted with the amount raised for St David’s Hospice and would like to thank everyone who supported us to make this happen.  Alongside our Shared Growth Ambition, Barclays has a fantastic Colleague Community Programme that encourages employees to get involved in the causes we care about.  It’s about giving back our skills, time and energy to support our local communities – so we’re thrilled to have raised this money.”
David Williams, Chairman North Wales Business Club added:
“It was a privilege for the North Wales Business Club to partner Barclays and support St David’s Hospice with this event once again. We were delighted with the amount raised for the Hospice on the evening and we look forward to the opportunity of working with them again in the future.
