Impressed by the local impact the Harlech Hospice at Home charity shop staff and volunteers have in the area, Ardudwy Knights have decided St David’s Hospice would be one of four beneficiaries from their 2018 fundraising and have donated £800 to the cause.

Ardudwy Knights are a group of bilingual re-enactors who bring the castles of North Wales to life. The groups aim is to encourage tourism to the town of Harlech through depicting life in the 13th Century in a fun and interesting way, whilst raising funds for local charities at the same time.

Ardudwy Knights Founding Member, Benjie Williams said:

“St David’s Hospice was chosen along with the local Scouts, RNLI and The Welsh Institute of Therapeutic Horsemanship as our 2018 charities. We choose to support St David’s Hospice following the rapport built with Harlech Shop Team Leader Dawn.”

Gwynedd Area Fundraiser, St David’s Hospice Keri McKie said:

“Many thanks to the members for the very generous donation. It will make a huge difference in helping us ensure free hospice care is available for adults in need of end of life care across the communities of Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.”

In 2018, Hospice at Home Gwynedd and Anglesey merged with neighbouring charity St David’s Hospice, and functions under the name St David’s Hospice.
