Our In Memory Appeal brings together a series of special events that help you remember your loved ones in a meaningful way, while raising vital funds for St David’s Hospice.
Each dedication, light and flower is a tribute to someone special, and a gift of care for another local family facing serious illness.
Whether your connection to St David’s Hospice is recent, goes back many years, or you are simply looking for a thoughtful way to remember, you are warmly invited to take part.
Together, our In Memory events create spaces filled with love, reflection and hope across Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.
Losing someone you love is an incredibly challenging and often overwhelming experience. Honouring their memory, through moments of reflection, shared stories and simple rituals, can be a powerful way to navigate grief and keep their presence alive in your heart.
St David’s Hospice In Memory events provide gentle, supportive spaces to remember, while also helping to fund the free specialist hospice care we provide for local people and their families. Your donations ensure we can offer inpatient care, community support and bereavement services to those who need us, now and in the future.
Our hospice care is always free of charge to patients and families, but it is not free to deliver. Only a small proportion of our income comes from the Welsh Government and NHS, the rest is raised through donations, fundraising, our shops, lottery and events like Tree of Lights and Memories Meadow.
By dedicating a light or a flower, you help fund:
Tree of Lights is our winter In Memory event, giving you the opportunity to dedicate a light on our hospice tree and in our online Book of Lights in memory of someone you love. You can make an online dedication or join one of our Tree of Lights services, where we come together with readings, music and quiet reflection.
Your light shines as a symbol of love and remembrance, while your donation helps St David’s Hospice provide compassionate care throughout the year.
Memories Meadow is our summer In Memory event, where handcrafted metallic flowers create a beautiful meadow filled with tributes to loved ones. Each flower represents the life of someone special and is placed in our meadow displays in Llandudno and Anglesey before you take it home as a keepsake.
Alongside the display, we host gentle remembrance gatherings with music and reflection, bringing families together in a peaceful, supportive setting. Your Peony dedication helps fund our hospice services across Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.
A Tribute Fund is a personal memorial page to honour someone special. It’s a place where friends and family can share memories, light virtual candles, upload photos, and collect donations in memory or for special occasions.
