St David’s Hospice Memories Meadow is a peaceful, uplifting space where you can remember and celebrate the people you love.
Every Summer, our handcrafted metallic flowers create a beautiful display in their honour, while your donations help us provide free palliative care for local families who need us now and in the future.
Whether your connection to St David’s Hospice is recent, goes back many years, or you are remembering someone in your own way, everyone is welcome to take part. Together, we will fill our meadow with love, gratitude and treasured memories.
This year’s flower is a beautiful hand-crafted metallic Peony, created specially for Memories Meadow. Each Peony represents the life of a loved one, a shared story, and the moments you continue to hold in your heart.
For a suggested donation of £25, your Peony will be placed in the meadow as part of the display. After the remembrance gathering, you will be able to take your flower home as a lasting keepsake for your garden, home or a place that feels special to you.
In 2026 we will be hosting two Memories Meadow events, giving more families across our area the chance to take part.

You are welcome to attend one or both events, regardless of where your Peony is displayed. If you are unable to join us in person, your Peony will still be included in the meadow and your loved one will be remembered alongside all those we are honouring.
As the day turns to evening, we gather together for a gentle, non‑religious remembrance concert with readings, music and moments of quiet reflection. The atmosphere is calm, supportive and welcoming, with space for tears, smiles and shared stories.
During the gathering, we will reflect on the lives of the people we are remembering, celebrate the love they gave, and acknowledge the grief that many continue to carry. You are invited to look for your Peony in the meadow, take photographs, and, if you wish, collect your flower to take home at the end of the event.
St David’s Hospice care is always free of charge for patients and their families, but it is not free to provide.
Each year it costs millions of pounds to run our services, and only a small proportion of this comes from the Welsh Government and NHS – the rest is raised through donations, fundraising, our shops, lottery and events like Memories Meadow.
You will receive a confirmation email with all the details and we will take care of everything else. If you have any questions or need support with your dedication, our Fundraising Office will be happy to help.
St David’s Hospice is built on the kindness, generosity and involvement of our local community. By joining Memories Meadow, you become part of a hospice family that walks alongside people living with serious illness, and the families and carers who support them, across Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.
