Peter Davidson is an outpatient at St David's Hospice and has received therapies since his Cancer diagnosis in 2022. Peter came up with a 'cheeky' fundraiser, here is his story:

I was diagnosed with terminal cancer June 22nd 2022 and told I had 6 months to live. With treatment possibly 2 years.

One of the first things the hospital did was introduce me through palliative care to St Davids Hospice not just a place to go and die but as a provider of all kinds of services to improve your journey getting there.

I had Physio and acupuncture to ease my pain and more importantly my wife was offered counselling and emotional support if needed. The importance of this is quite often overlooked.

We have had many a happy lunch in the cafeteria and buy all our birthday and Christmas cards from the shop.

As I approach my final battle (all treatment options coming to an end) I was looking to make a donation to the hospice knowing that is most probably were I will end up. To cover the cost of my final stay.

I thought how can we make my donation work to provide greater funds hence the

Which I hope will put a smile on everyone’s face and thank you to all the brave guys doing it to support St Davids Hospice many of which have had family or fiend’s that have used the facilities you offer.
